“ At 12 on the dot the people in the jury room reached into their bags and pockets and pulled out a power bar. Controlled- comfortably conformed. 12:00 means hungry, obviously. Just like before when the tv turned on and the books they were previously so engrossed in became insignificant and were put away to watch CNN. I don’t get it… And yet I do…. Frustrating. Just, frustrating.
